Your Help is Needed!
Anderson Mill knows that knowledge leads to caring and caring leads to action. We need your help catching our students in action. If you see your child using the knowledge they learn at school and putting it into action at home please send us a note or comment documenting this action! This way we are aware that the knowledge they are learning is being applied to the real world. Once you send us a note or comment online we will post the action on the website and in the classroom!
Since starting Kindergarten, our daughter spends a great deal of time after school, playing school with her little brother. She has recreated centers in her room including point charts for the diffrent tables in her class. On her own she spends hours working on writing sentences and trying to read new words, excited to show us the ones she knows. Also thanks to the songs that are used to teach with, she knows all the months of the year and knows the date since she writes it at school. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI would agree with Anonymous. My daughter has taken a much greater interest in sounding out the words herself and wanting to do more reading. She is also better understanding the concept of time and that you should not waste it. This has been very helpful and wonderful to see.
